On May 9, 2025, the iconic Palace of Culture in Iași hosted an international hybrid event organized within the Boosting INGENIUM for Excellence (BI4E) project: “Boosting the Way for Meaningful Transformation: Tools, Networks, and Vision.”
The gathering brought together experts, academics, and stakeholders from across the INGENIUM European University alliance, who explored strategies for institutional transformation, collaborative research, technology transfer, and talent development.
Opening and vision for transformation
The event was opened by Irina Lungu, BI4E Project Coordinator, who emphasized the importance of tackling global challenges with innovation and building sustainable momentum for institutional transformation across the alliance.
Key contributions from INGENIUM leaders
Several leaders of BI4E’s work packages shared insights and practical outcomes achieved so far:
- Marcello Costantini (Ud’A, Italy – WP4 leader) presented the CONNECT Platform, designed to foster collaboration and strengthen research networks.
- Kyra Dunne (MTU, Ireland – WP5 leader) highlighted best practices in commercialization and technology transfer, supporting the transition from research to societal impact.
- Rebecca Koch (HKA, Germany – WP6 leader) introduced HR guidelines and frameworks for nurturing talent in academia and research environments.
- Alberto Esparza (UNIOVI, Spain – WP7 leader) unveiled “BI4E into Action: A Playbook for INGENIUM’s Institutional Transformation,” offering a roadmap for long-term impact across the alliance.
A step forward for INGENIUM
The event combined presentations, networking, and discussions, reinforcing BI4E’s role in accelerating the institutional development of the INGENIUM partners. Participants underlined the value of shared tools and knowledge, as well as the importance of cross-border collaboration in higher education and research.
By hosting this milestone event, “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași (TUIASI) demonstrated once again its strong commitment to driving European cooperation and contributing to the long-term transformation of the INGENIUM alliance.
